Max Edward Corrick, II

Partner

Max Edward Corrick, II is the Managing Partner of the firm and maintains a broad civil litigation practice focused on professional liability, premises and products liability, wrongful death and catastrophic injury matters, and construction litigation. He has extensive trial experience, having served as lead counsel in numerous matters over the course of his career, including multiple successful defense verdicts. He has also argued significant appellate matters before the Nevada Supreme Court, including Beavor v. Tomsheck, 519 P.3d 1260 (Nev. 2022), a published decision addressing the assignment of claims and proceeds in legal malpractice cases. Max is a graduate of the University of Virginia and began his legal career with the firm’s predecessor in 1999 after earning his Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis.

Obtained summary judgment for clients in a wrongful death case based upon absence of duty and absence of foreseeability for third-party criminal conduct.

Obtained summary judgment for client in a premises liability case based upon lack of actual/constructive notice and failure to establish breach of duty.

Obtained summary judgment for clients in a legal malpractice case based upon failure to establish breach of duty and causation of damages.

Received a defense verdict after 5-week trial in a traumatic brain injury case where Plaintiff sought $27,000,000+ in damages; jury verdict returned in less than an hour.

Secured a voluntary dismissal of case by plaintiff during plaintiff’s case in chief in a two week trial in a wrongful termination action.

Received a defense verdict in a 2-week bench trial concerning claims of insurance broker negligence and bad faith.
