Walter R. Cannon

Born in St. Paul Minnesota, Mr. Cannon has been a member of the Nevada bar since 1975. He obtained his B.A. from Cal State University in 1972 and his J.D. from the University of San Diego in 1975. Mr. Cannon is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court of Nevada, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and The United States Supreme Court. Mr. Cannon is also a member of the State Bar of California since 1975, as well as a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Nevada Trial Lawyers Association, is a Master for Nevada’s Inns of Court, is certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Mr. Cannon also serves as a short trial judge in Nevada’s arbitration program, and has served as both a public and private mediator and arbitrator in a wide variety of cases. Mr. Cannon is also a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and is also an associate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.

Mr. Cannon lectures frequently in the areas of insurance coverage and bad faith, trial strategy and tactics, civil rights, employment, and legal, dental and medical malpractice defense.
