Joslyn D. Shapiro


A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Joslyn obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Writing and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh in December, 2003. Upon receiving a Dean’s Merit Scholarship from the University of Toledo College of Law, she moved to Ohio and obtained her Juris Doctorate, graduating cum laude in May, 2007. Following a summer clerkship with the firm in 2006, she relocated to Las Vegas in 2007 to join the firm as an attorney and is licensed to practice in all courts in Nevada. Joslyn’s practice areas consist largely of casualty, personal injury, premises liability, insurance coverage issues, and products liability. While in law school, she obtained a Certificate of Concentration in Labor and Employment Law, and earned accolades as the highest-ranking student in various courses based in Alternative Dispute Resolution.

In 2013, Joslyn began serving in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the United States Air Force. In her U.S. Air Force Reserve position, Captain Shapiro augments the active-duty legal office at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada as an Assistant Staff Judge Advocate, advising commanders on military and civil law matters including military justice, standards of conduct, contracts, and administrative and disciplinary personnel actions.

Joslyn also enjoys providing pro bono legal services for matters involving juveniles, and lectoring at her church.
